Compassionate, responsive respite care – whenever and wherever you need it.

What is Respite Care?

Respite care is care offered on a temporary basis for those in need. This could be due to acute illness or injury, supporting with additional care needs or to give family carers some relief.

We understand how emotionally and physically challenging it can be to care for someone you love. Our sensitive respite care support is tailored to you and your loved one, taking into account your unique needs and concerns.

Respite care can be offered on a one-off or more frequent basis, depending on your situation.

What are the benefits of respite care?

Caring for a loved one alone is a huge responsibility which often takes priority over everything else in a carer’s life. Whilst they do an incredible job of looking after the person in need, many carers struggle to ensure that their own needs are met and as a result, their wellbeing suffers.

Caring for someone you love can lead to exhaustion and burn-out – so it’s important to notice when you might need to take a break. Making use of a respite care service enables carers to get some rest, relief and breathing space – as well as ensuring they can attend to their own needs such as satisfying work commitments, keeping appointments, attending special occasions and going on holiday.

Respite care can be beneficial in many ways, including:

  • Care tailored completely to your loved one’s needs
  • Offering peace of mind that your loved one is being well cared for and supported at home
  • Ensuring your loved one can stay in their own home whilst you take a break, or if you go away for an extended period such as a holiday
  • Giving you the option to take a rest from caring whenever needed
  • Enabling you to ‘try out’ professional care support and easing a transition into further professional care provision
  • Enabling your loved one to continue living at home independently or with you for longer

Our respite care is delivered by highly trained and experienced care professionals who are matched to you and your loved one, so that you can be sure they’re receiving the same standard of care and compassionate support at home.
